Fire performance
The fire rating applies when the panel is installed in a suitable wall or ceiling construction, with non-combustible packers and fire rated sealant around the frame as shown in the installation instructions. Check the fire performance your project needs before ordering. The downloadable data sheet covers the whole PRIMA 1000 FR range.
Frame
Beaded frame (BF): a simulated drywall edge bead profile, for panels installed before tape and jointing or skim coat plastering, so the plaster finishes right up to the door.
Size specification
- All dimensions are in mm, and the size (X x Y) is the outside rear frame size
- Doors hinge along dimension Y, so rectangular panels hinge on the long side
- Structural opening required: (X + 5) x (Y + 5), for example 605 x 605 mm for a 600 x 600 mm panel
- Panels are made to size and cannot be cut down
Sizes available
| Size (outside frame) | Structural opening | Weight |
|---|---|---|
| 200 x 200 mm | 205 x 205 mm | 2.87 kg |
| 300 x 300 mm | 305 x 305 mm | 5.07 kg |
| 300 x 600 mm | 305 x 605 mm | 8.16 kg |
| 600 x 600 mm | 605 x 605 mm | 13.05 kg |
| 600 x 900 mm | 605 x 905 mm | 18.14 kg |
Operation
Remove the white cap from the door face, insert the supplied 8 mm T-bar key into the keyhole, turn to unlatch and pull the door open. The door sits on a concealed pivot hinge and lifts off for fitting or replacement.
Installation
Openings in dry lined walls and ceilings must be properly formed and supported to take the weight of the panel and the forces of opening and closing. Fix with at least No. 6 steel plasterboard screws into plasterboard, or M6 steel anchors into masonry. Full fixing details are in the installation instructions below.
